Other things that annoy right now: PNGs as layout images!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are fine as icons, but as layout images? HELL NO.
If you slice it, and don't have your menu/navigation load first? YOU MAY AS WELL NOT HAVE BOTHERED. AND YOU ARE SLOWING MY COMPUTER. FAIL x MILLION!!!!!
Anything over 150k? Go ahead and slice that sucker. Anything over 200k total in size, and it's not a wallpaper? WTF. Get someone with photoshop to save it for you as a smaller size so you don't lose whatever quality you think you're going to lose saving it yourself as a jpg or gif.
Also? Don't slice in to 30 million parts especially when it won't matter anyway, as hey, you didn't make the navigation load first, so I still have to freaking wait for it. Two or three slices is fine.
